On October 12, TRICKED releases. This anthology is very special to me because I got to work on it with some of my amazing writing friends and critique partners. We wanted to have a little fun with some of our favorite antiheroes while earning money to help others in need. All proceeds from TRICKED sales will benefit Food for the Hungry.
I'm writing as Hannah Joseph this time, and my short story HIGH INTEREST LEVELS follows a shady bank manager trying to get revenge on his pretentious father.

For now, I've included the first page of HIGH INTEREST LEVELS as a teaser. ;)
One more hellish week of fake smiles, sweaty handshakes, and phone conferences before I take this entire place down.
“Thank you so much for your confidence in us, Mr. Branson.” I reached across the mahogany desk and shook the man’s hand. “You enjoy the rest of your week.”
My newest account, a local businessman who changed banks after an argument over an interest rate, adjusted the briefcase strap on his shoulder and wandered from my corner office to the front door.
I sank back into my chair. This particular fellow maintained a checkbook balance of around twenty-two thousand dollars that now sat safely in our bank—for now. It had been the only account I’d opened that day, but it didn’t matter. After four years behind that desk, even if I only averaged to take in ten thousand dollars a day, I stood to walk away with just over fourteen million dollars when I drained the place dry and ran off into the sunset. That made a suitable retirement for anyone of thirty-five years.
I slid my rolling chair across the plastic floor mat and let it propel me upright when it crashed against the wall. If I planned to do any more calculations and masterminding for the day, I needed another cup of coffee.
